You have all been presented with the task of representing a particular nation involved in World War I in the negotiation of the Treaty of Versailles.  As delegates, you will be expected to contribute to the formation of the treaty in a way that is reflective of the needs and goals of your nation.  In order to do this, you must first understand the political, economic, and militant roles played by your nation in World War I, as well as its interactions with allied and enemy nations during the conflict.  It is also important to understand the social and ideological changes that occurred within your nation over the course of World War I and what sort of negotiations would be most beneficial to your nation as it recovers from the conflict.  Be mindful of all involved nations' cultures, as well, in order to determine how previously occupied territories should be divided or combined to piece back Europe and parts of Asia in the way that is most economically, politically, or imperially beneficial to your own nation.
